IT Support Officer

Key Responsibilities: The IT Support Officer will provide technical support and ensure the smooth operation of IT systems to enable efficient and secure organizational performance. Key responsibilities include: Providing timely first- and second-level IT support by troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues. Installing, configuring, and maintaining computers, printers, and other office IT equipment. Supporting staff in the effective use of email systems, office applications, and collaboration tools. Managing user access by setting up accounts for new staff and disabling access during exit processes. Monitoring and maintaining office networks, internet connectivity, and shared systems. Performing routine system updates, antivirus checks, and basic cybersecurity measures. Qualifications: Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required. Relevant IT certifications are an added advantage. At least 2–3 years of demonstrable experience in an IT support or helpdesk role, preferably within an NGO environment Strong knowledge of computer hardware, Windows operating systems, and office productivity applications Demonstrable experience supporting Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or similar platforms Basic understanding of networking, internet connectivity, and troubleshooting
