We are looking for a Project Officer for analysis of plant genomics data Key Responsibilities: Genome assembly from long-read sequencing data De novo gene and repeat annotation of genome assemblies Computational analysis of transcriptomics and metabolomics data Manuscript preparation DNA and RNA extraction using existing kits Job Requirements: Bachelor’s (for PO and Research Assistant equivalent) degree in biological sciences or related field. At least 3 months of relevant experience (equivalent to a final year project) in genomic data analysis Familiarity with Linux server environment and skills in Bash and R scripting Good written and oral communication skills Competent in soft skills / general personality traits e.g. information visualization, interaction design Ability to work independently and develop solutions under strict timelines The College of Science seeks a diverse and inclusive workforce and is committed to equality of opportunity.
