About the Role: We are seeking a Senior Database Engineer with strong expertise in PostgreSQL and MongoDB to join a high-performing Data Foundation team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing application databases in a cloud-based environment, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Oracle databases in a cloud environment (AWS)
• Perform database administration tasks, including monitoring, tuning, backup, and recovery
• Handle capacity planning, performance optimization, and database consolidation
• Collaborate with development teams to support SQL development, enhancements, and runtime activities
• Provide technical guidance to project teams on database design and best practices
• Work closely with architects to design and implement scalable database solutions
• Contribute to automation, stability, security, and quality improvements
• Support CI/CD practices and continuous improvement initiatives
• Participate in on-call support rotations when required

Requirements:

• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience managing PostgreSQL and MongoDB in production environments
• Strong experience working with AWS cloud services
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts
• Experience in query optimization and performance tuning
• Proven ability to work independently and drive technical initiatives
• Experience managing large-scale database environments and implementing changes
• Experience with Oracle databases
• Knowledge of monitoring tools beyond CloudWatch
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Background in database development
• Experience with automation and scripting
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proactive and self-driven mindset
