The positions are based at the Mine Site located between Maun and Sehithwa in Ngamiland. To be successful, you must enjoy getting out on site and have the enthusiasm, and interest to work in a remote location, as well as deliver in a multicultural work environment. The Senior Mining Manager will responsible for leading and directing Khoemacau's underground mining operations to deliver safe and efficient operational targets through effective management of resources. Key Responsibilities Managing and directing underground mine operations to deliver safe and efficient operational targets. Ensuring efficient and effective implementation of Khoemacau strategic mining goals and strategy. Developing and implementing systems and processes to ensure safe and efficient mining operations in line with evolving world mining standards. Providing oversight and accountability for the development and implementation of Mining Operations policies and procedures, considering regulatory requirements, best practice developments and the internal business environment systems. Preparing and submitting accurate production and compliance reports. Maintaining reliable records of mining data. Analysing operational data to guide safety and efficiency decisions. Assisting in the development and the execution of staff training plans and the implementation of the localisation plan. Ensuring overall accountability for skills development and skills transfer within area of accountability. Coordinating the adjudication and selection of the key mining contractors. Managing adherence of the Safety, Health, Environmental and Community (SHEC) policies and procedures in area of responsibility as well as compliance with the statutory requirements as stipulated in the Mines, Works, Quarries and Machinery Act (MWQM), Mines and Minerals Act, Explosives Act; and other applicable regulations. Enforcing and implementing action items arising from SHEC audits by taking corrective actions on identified non-conformances.
