Botswana Harvard Health Partnership is a collaborative research and training initiative between government of Botswana and the Harvard School of Public Health. BHP is dedicated to fight HIV/AIDS and related public health challenges through collaborative research, education and capacity building. We seek an experienced, assertive, results driven individuals for the following positions:
The incumbent will report directly to the Human Resource Manager and will be responsible to support the overall functions of the department. The organization seeks experienced, assertive, and results-driven individuals to support its mission of fighting HIV/AIDS and related public health challenges through research, education, and capacity building. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with the Botswana Employment & Labour Act and BHP's disciplinary code. Monitoring recruitment metrics such as retention rates and staff turnover. Manage the grievance and disciplinary hearing processes, including the preparation of charges, chairing of hearings (or advising panel members), and drafting of outcome letters. Lead the end-to-end performance management cycle, including goal setting, mid-year reviews, and annual appraisals. Coach and advise line managers on effective performance feedback, poor performance management, and the development of Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs). Administer employee benefits (medical aid, pension fund, group life) and serve as the liaison with service providers regarding queries and renewals. Manage the full recruitment lifecycle utilizing the Recruitment Management System, ensuring adherence to BHP's talent acquisition policies. Partner with Principal Investigators and Department Heads to conduct workforce planning and develop strategic sourcing strategies for specialized research and clinical roles. Utilize HR data analytics to generate insights on workforce trends, turnover rates, and recruitment efficiency; present monthly HR dashboards to senior management. Promote employee welfare by developing and implementing policies and programs that support employee well-being. Requirements Masters/bachelor's degree in relevant discipline (Human Resources/Business Administration/Social Science). Experience in a grant funded environment is an added advantage. Membership of any HR professional body. Strong conceptualization of Human Resources initiatives. Minimum of Five (5) years' experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory level. Working knowledge of HR systems and software. Events management experience. Data Analytics skills. The ability to research, analyze, and make logical decisions within a given timeframe.
