Sandvik Botswana invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Product Specialist. The successful candidate will provide technical and commercial support for assigned product lines, support customers with product application and performance optimization, and work closely with sales, service, and customer teams to improve equipment performance, customer satisfaction, and business growth. The position reports to the Field Service Manager. Key Responsibilities Provide technical and product support for designated Sandvik product lines to internal teams and customers. Promote product understanding, application best practice, and correct operating procedures at customer sites. Support the introduction, commissioning, optimization, and ongoing performance of Sandvik products and related solutions. Work closely with customers to identify operational needs and recommend fit-for-purpose product solutions. Monitor equipment or product performance and provide recommendations to improve reliability, productivity, efficiency, and total cost of ownership. Assist in preparing product presentations, technical proposals, reports, and customer support documentation. Support product-related training for customers, operators, service personnel, and internal stakeholders where required. Liaise with sales, service, supply chain, engineering, and regional product teams to ensure coordinated customer support. Gather and communicate market intelligence, customer feedback, competitor activity, and product improvement opportunities. Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with Sandvik safety standards, customer site requirements, and applicable legal and operational requirements. Maintain accurate records of customer visits, technical findings, product performance data, and action plans. Travel to customer sites as required to support field activity, product trials, technical evaluations, and customer engagement. Requirements Degree, Diploma, Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering/ Industrial Engineering/ Technical Sales/ Electrical/Electronics/ Millwright trades or a related field. Proven experience in a product support, technical specialist, application specialist, sales support, or mining/OEM technical role. Sound understanding of mining, construction, drilling, load and haul, or related Sandvik-type product applications. Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
