Junior Health Safety & Environment Officer – Nutri Feeds Botswana

Master Farmer Feeds (Pty) Ltd has a vacancy for a qualified and experienced Junior SHE Officer at its Feed Mill, Nutri Feeds Botswana in Pilane.

Key responsibilities will include: PPE stock control, procurement & insurance Manages the legal compliance relating to the occupational health & safety. Ensure good housekeeping standards. Conduct HIRA’S and Internal audits on safety. Ensure full legal compliance to all set safety standards. Implementation and systems management, ISO 45001. Induct all new employees and visitors to the plant on set safety protocols. In consultation with the HR Office, plan and implement all legally required training. Assist the Senior SHE Officer to prepare annual safety and training budget, and subsequent monthly budget control. Report and advice on critical safety issues and make subsequent appropriate recommendations. Execute any other morally reasonable assigned duties to meet the exigencies of service as directed by management. To qualify for the position, candidates will require the following: Results oriented Attention to detail Report writing skills Enthusiastic self-starter. People & communication skills Quick thinker & problem solver. Good administration and organisational skills. Minimum of a Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety Management, SAMTRAC qualification will be an added advantage Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a large manufacturing environment with specific experience in a Fed Mill or Mining environment
