The Contract Lead will be responsible for ensuring that all procurement-related activities within the program comply with procurement policies, procedures, and governance requirements. This is essential for maintaining efficient and effective supply chain practices that align with business objectives and functional requirements Key Responsibilities Promoting a safety-first culture by implementing environmental, quality, and risk protocols. Leveraging experience in compliance and safety standards to ensure operational integrity throughout the procurement process. Leading the full procurement lifecycle using strategic planning and project methodologies. Applying deep knowledge of supply chain systems and capital program management to support operational success. Building and sustaining effective partnerships with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Demonstrating strong communication and relationship-building skills to ensure alignment with project goals and long-term value creation. Enforcing legal, environmental, and contractual standards with proficiency in MMG specifications and regulatory frameworks. Ensuring goods, services, and processes meet both statutory and internal controls. Managing cost optimization, delivery risks, and supplier negotiations by applying analytical thinking and a solution-oriented approach. Ensuring financial performance through effective vendor assessments and contracting mechanisms. Providing high-level reporting to executive teams, including contract status, logistics, and procurement analytics. Demonstrating advanced reporting skills ensure accurate documentation across multiple projects. Monitoring subcontractor and vendor performance. Using knowledge of vendor management principles to guide delivery quality, compliance, and efficiency across packages. Directing expediting, changing order reviews, and supply chain operations. Demonstrating proven experience to ensure timely service delivery that aligns with lead times and budget targets. Offering functional and technical direction to the procurement team, drawing on cross-project leadership and industry insight to guide execution and decision-making. Delivering project duties with integrity and alignment to company policies and ethical standards. Maintaining awareness of business dynamics and contribute to strategic partnerships and corporate governance. Requirements Bachelor's degree in legal, commercial or supply chain qualification. 10+ years' related experience, with previous Africa mining experience. 5+ years' management experience of leading teams and having direct reports.
