The Hub is designed to drive modern, irrigated agriculture, enhance productivity, and attract commercial farming investment. As we continue to scale operations, we are looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking HR Specialist to help shape a high-performing, people-centered organization. Position Overview The HR Specialist will play a pivotal role in building and sustaining a strong organizational culture, driving talent acquisition, and strengthening HR systems within a fast-growing, performance-driven environment. This role is ideal for an agile HR professional who thrives in startup or fast-paced private sector environments and is passionate about people, systems, and organizational impact. Key Responsibilities
- Talent acquisition & Workforce planning Lead end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding. Design and implement innovative strategies to attract and retain high-quality talent. Collaborate with department heads to anticipate staffing needs and build a strong talent pipeline.
- Employee relations & Culture development Serve as a link between management and employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Address employee concerns, manage grievances, and support conflict resolution. Champion a strong organizational culture anchored in accountability, collaboration, and performance.
- Performance management Develop, implement, and continuously improve performance management systems. Support managers in setting KPIs, conducting performance appraisals, and managing underperformance. Promote a results-driven culture through continuous feedback and employee engagement.
- Learning & development Identify training needs and organize professional development programs. Support career development initiatives and succession planning. Encourage continuous learning aligned with organizational goals.
- HR policies, compliance & administration Develop, review, and implement HR policies and procedures in line with Rwanda labor laws and best practices. Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate HR records and documentation.
- Compensation & benefits Support the administration of employee compensation and benefits programs. Ensure competitiveness, fairness, and alignment with organizational objectives.
- HR analytics & Strategic support Track, analyze, and report on HR metrics to inform decision-making. Provide insights on workforce trends, retention, and performance.
