Service Line: Tax Sub service Line: International Tax and Transaction Services (ITTS- Advisory) Role: Senior Manager Job overview The senior manager will lead teams of professional staff on various international tax projects. The candidate will be actively involved in business development activities for the unit and the Firm. In addition, the candidate will be involved in managing and monitoring operations relating to projects, ensuring assignments are completed in line with the firm’s criteria around quality & risk management, engagement economics and cash collection. Job description Must possess a sound knowledge and understanding of the local and international tax laws, double tax treaties, and must be able to demonstrate the application of these on projects. Lead teams and provide technical advice to various clients on a broad range of topics, ranging from cross-border tax advisory, tax restructuring services, tax due diligence services to regulatory services, such as processing of National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion (NOTAP) and Pioneer Status Incentive (PSI) approvals. Actively drive business development by identifying opportunities for new services and managing marketing initiatives to expand existing client relationships across the Firm. Manage relationships with clients, regulators, and other external parties, acting as a liaison with clients’ project team and the relevant government/regulatory authorities

  • tax authorities, NOTAP, and Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission. Provide insights on tax subject matters and champion thought leadership. Adopt quality project management strategies to optimize efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery within the team. Monitor project progress, manage resources, and address any challenges that may arise, to ensure successful project outcomes. Stay updated on changes in local and international tax laws and regulations, and communicate implications to the Firm and clients’ businesses. Supervise, coach, train and develop younger team members. Manage a portfolio of clients, to ensure assignments are completed within agreed budgets and in line with the firm’s criteria around quality & risk management and engagement economics. Requirements A degree from an accredited tertiary institution in any discipline with a minimum of second class (upper division) or its equivalent. Membership of a professional body is a mandatory requirement
  • ICAN/ACCA and CITN. A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in international tax services preferably in a multinational corporation or professional services firm. Strong understanding of local and international tax laws, and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions. Excellent business development skills driving growth. Proven track record of successfully managing complex international tax projects. Strong project management skills, ensuring timely, efficient and quality delivery of projects. Excellent operations management skill
