[VKS] Senior Back-end Software Engineer (Java)

Our client is a gaming company established to reform the national gaming system. Operating under the principle of exclusivity, its mission is to provide games responsibly, mitigate gambling-related risks, and ensure player protection while preventing fraud.

The Multiplayer Platform is currently in a post-MVP stage and is approaching its production release. While the core functionality is already in place, several features still need to be finalized, and performance optimizations are required. The key objective is to bring the platform to a fully production-ready state through productization.

• how you’ll contribute

As part of the team, you will focus on completing the remaining features and improving system performance to ensure the platform meets production standards.

Following the initial customer delivery, you will also contribute to the ongoing product development, enhancements, and maintenance, supporting the platform’s scalability and reliability.

Expectations

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java, PostgreSQL, Google Cloud Platform, and Git

• Experience with Gradle and Mermaid, or a strong willingness to quickly learn and adopt these tools

• Proactive and self-driven mindset

• Strong communication skills and a curious, problem-solving attitude

Additional skills - the edge you have

• Familiarity with Go and Redis (nice to have)
• Exposure to infrastructure-related technologies such as Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and GitLab (understanding from an infrastructure perspective is a plus)
