Job description / Role Job Type Part Time Job Location Oman Nationality Any Nationality Salary 300 - 400 OMR Gender Male Arabic Fluency Not Specified Job Function Transport, Logistics & Warehousing Company Industry Transport, Distribution & Logistics The Storeman (MWEPS & AWP Parts) is responsible for managing, organizing, and controlling the spare parts inventory related to Mobile Work Equipment & Power Systems and Aerial Work Platforms. This role ensures that all parts are accurately received, stored, issued, and documented to support maintenance operations, workshop activities, and field service requirements. The position plays a vital role in maintaining stock accuracy, operational efficiency, and smooth workflow in the depot Key Responsibilities Inventory Management • Receive, inspect, and verify deliveries of MWEPS and AWP parts against purchase orders. • Accurately store parts in designated locations with proper labelling and classification. • Maintain stock accuracy by conducting daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts. • Monitor stock levels and advise procurement of replenishment requirements. • Ensure fast-moving, critical, and safety-related parts are adequately stocked. • Track warranty parts, returns, and replacements with suppliers. Issuing & Documentation • Issue parts to technicians, workshop supervisors, and field service teams based on job requisitions. • Record all incoming and outgoing parts transactions in the system without delay. • Prepare delivery notes, parts transfer forms, and required documentation. • Ensure proper sign?off and documentation for every part issued or returned. • Follow up on pending parts requests and maintain a tracking log. Warehouse Coordination & Housekeeping • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment. • Ensure proper storage conditions for sensitive parts (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical). • Implement FIFO/LIFO or other inventory methods as instructed. • Arrange shelves, racks, bins, and storage areas to optimize space and accessibility. • Assist with annual stock takes and external/internal audits. Technical & Operational Support • Maintain familiarity with MWEPS and AWP components to support accurate identification and issuing. • Assist the workshop team by preparing kits and pre-picking parts for scheduled maintenance jobs. • Support the parts supervisor with stock analysis, ageing reports, and usage trends. • Identify discrepancies, damaged items, or incorrect deliveries and escalate accordingly. Compliance & Safety • Ensure adherence to company safety rules and warehouse standards. • Follow handling procedures for heavy, hazardous, or sensitive parts. • Comply with internal controls, documentation requirements, and audit procedures. • Support compliance with Oman commercial storage and operational regulations.
