I'm supporting a major FMCG client in the Netherlands who is looking for an experienced Category Manager to strengthen their global procurement organisation during a period of significant digital and data-driven transformation. About the Role In this assignment, you will act as a strategic partner to IT and Digital leadership, helping shape the supplier ecosystem that enables their technology and data ambitions. You'll drive commercial excellence, strengthen strategic supplier relationships, and ensure long-term value creation across major IT services, software (including SAP), and global technology partners. What We're Looking For A senior profile with: 10+ years' experience in IT procurement, sourcing, contract management or vendor management Strong understanding of IT services cost drivers and the ability to identify continuous cost-optimisation opportunities Proven experience managing large global IT suppliers and complex commercial negotiations Strong command of the global vendor landscape, especially within SAP ecosystems Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills A strategic mindset - able to translate business direction into sourcing strategies and partner frameworks Ability to operate across global teams and deliver value in a fast-moving, digital-focused environment Why This Role Matters You'll directly contribute to the client's digital evolution by shaping high-impact supplier partnerships, enabling innovation, and ensuring the organisation gets maximum value from major technology investments.
