Application Manager Other information:

• Location: Visp
• Project Duration:07/04/2026 - 31/08/2026
• Work 40% onsite / 60% remote

Tasks / Responsibilities

• Act as primary point of contact between business owners and IT at Visp site
• Own full lifecycle of assigned applications (deploy, configure, optimize, upgrade, troubleshoot, backup/restore)
• Understand applications, perform configuration and customization
• Coordinate integration in the IT landscape including interfaces and security
• Maintain documentation (Basic System Design Spec, etc.)
• Ensure applications stay compliant, secure, supported, and up to date
• Perform hands-on configuration plus routine infrastructure maintenance (servers, systems)
• Cooperate with Infra, Network, Interface, IT Security, Enterprise Architecture teams + external providers
• Support day-to-day operations ensuring stability, availability, compliance
• Contribute to project delivery and follow standards
• Technology scouting, PoCs, vendor liaison, define infrastructure standards (storage, backup, lab software)
• Ensure solutions and documentation comply with the standards

Requirements Mandatory Skills

• 5 years IT experience: System Engineering + System Architecture
• Full Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)
• Knowledge of Network, Databases, Application Deployment, IT Security, Client-Server
• Experience in dynamic, cross-functional environments
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills
• General understanding of GxP
• Stakeholder management across business + IT
• Fluent English & German

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Swiss German
• Experience in laboratory software environments
• Vendor management experience
• Technology scouting / PoC experience

Education

• Required: BAS in IT
• Preferred: MCSE - IT System Engineering
