English-Spanish Legal Document Translation
Description
Budget: $250 - $750
I have an ongoing stream of English legal documents—mostly contracts, NDAs, and policy papers—that need to be rendered into native-quality Spanish. Precision in legal terminology, respect for original formatting, and strict confidentiality are all non-negotiable.
You’ll be working directly from the source files (PDF or DOCX) and returning fully formatted Spanish versions ready for filing or publication. If you use a CAT tool such as SDL Trados, MemoQ, or Wordfast, that’s a plus because consistency across repeated clauses matters, but I’m more interested in the final quality than the specific software.
Deliverables for each assignment: • Spanish translation that mirrors the structure of the English original • Terminology aligned with common Spanish-language legal usage • Clean file in the same format delivered on or before the agreed deadline
My evaluation criteria are straightforward: zero mistranslations, consistent terminology, and a layout that matches the source. If you can demonstrate previous experience translating legal documents from English into Spanish, I’d be happy to send over a short paid sample to begin our collaboration.
