Home Assistant Bot & Policies Setup For - Openclaw

I already have a multi-server Home Assistant MCP environment running with OpenClaw installed, SSL secured, and reachable through the web UI. What I now need is an end-to-end configuration that adds one dedicated bot per Home Assistant instance, builds out granular notification logic, and enforces clear operational policies across all connected devices.

Scope of work • Bot deployment

• configure a lightweight, always-on bot for every HA node so the admin panel can centrally control smart lights, thermostats, and security cameras. • Notification engine
• implement device-specific, user-specific, and event-specific filters so that end-users only receive alerts that match their own rules. • Policy framework
• set up usage limits, access control layers, and scheduled tasks so each device follows defined operating windows and permission boundaries. • Documentation & media
• record a step-by-step video walkthrough, produce a reproducible written guide (screenshots, YAML snippets, command lines), and store both in the repo for future reference. • Training
• run two live, hands-on sessions (remote is fine) that walk the admin team through bot maintenance, filter editing, and policy adjustments.

Acceptance criteria

1. All HA nodes show the bot as online and responsive.
2. Test alerts respect the three filter types without leakage.
3. Policies visibly throttle or block actions when limits are exceeded, confirm scheduled tasks trigger as set.
4. Video and document can recreate the setup from a fresh install.
5. Admin team completes both training sessions and can demonstrate basic modifications unaided.

Tools you are free to use include the native Home Assistant automation editor, YAML, Node-RED, or the OpenClaw API—whichever delivers a clean, maintainable solution.
