On-Site Japanese-English Interpreter, Singapore
Description
Budget: $250 - $750
I will be attending ADEX Singapore and need a skilled Japanese-English interpreter by my side for a series of business-oriented meetings that take place during the exhibition. The sessions are fixed slots within the show rather than continuous coverage, so your role will focus on interpreting only when those specific conversations happen.
The setting is informal yet commercially driven: I will be meeting potential partners, walking them through our booth, and negotiating next-step collaborations. You will bridge the language gap in both directions, ensuring nuance and intent are maintained whether we are talking product details, pricing, or follow-up logistics. Most of the interpretation will be consecutive, though there may be moments where a whisper-style simultaneous approach keeps the conversation flowing naturally on the show floor.
To succeed here you should already feel comfortable in a lively exhibition hall, able to filter background noise and remain attentive throughout short bursts of discussion. Punctuality is essential because each session is scheduled, and missing a window means missing the opportunity entirely.
Deliverables on the day are straightforward: • Accurate, confidential Japanese↔English interpretation for each pre-scheduled meeting slot • On-the-spot clarification or terminology support if questions arise • A concise summary of any agreed actions so nothing is lost once the meeting ends
If you have prior trade-fair or business-matching experience at events like ADEX, let me know. I’m ready to confirm dates and session times as soon as I find the right interpreter.
