ONTAP AFF 9.9 Setup

Budget: $8 - $15/hr

I need our new NetApp ONTAP AFF (All Flash FAS) cluster brought from factory defaults to a clean, production-ready state on ONTAP 9.9. The controllers are racked, powered, and reachable; licences and IP information are already on hand. What’s missing is a best-practice configuration and clear hand-over documentation.

First, I’d like you to initialise the nodes and form the cluster, including cluster and node-management LIFs plus SP configuration. From there we will design aggregates and storage pools with performance and resilience in mind, create an SVM that matches our security style, and provision the initial set of volumes, LUNs, or qtrees I will specify. Snapshot schedules, disaster-recovery policies (SnapMirror), and basic monitoring within Active IQ Unified Manager also need to be set up so that day-to-day administration is straightforward.

Deliverables • Fully running configuration exported from ONTAP 9.9 • Step-by-step build log so we can reproduce the setup at another site • Concise hand-over guide covering routine tasks such as adding a new volume or adjusting policies
