Android GPS Tracker & Video Uploader
Description
Budget: ₹600 - ₹1500
I’m building an Android-only app that lets field engineers share their real-time GPS location, capture and upload short work-progress videos, and receive instant push notifications from our office team. The core screens I have in mind are a secure sign-in, a live map with location breadcrumbing, a quick-record video uploader that tags clips to the current job ID, and a notifications center for new assignments or safety alerts.
Key expectations • Smooth, battery-sensitive GPS tracking that updates the backend every few seconds without noticeable lag. • In-app camera integration—engineers should be able to shoot, preview, and upload work progress videos even on spotty connections (queued uploads when offline). • Firebase or a comparable service for push notifications and real-time database updates. • Clean, modern UI aligned with Material Design so new users can pick it up instantly. • Source code delivered in a well-structured Android Studio project with clear README and build instructions.
I’ll provide the API endpoints and JSON specs for authentication, location posts, and video metadata—all you need on the backend is standard REST calls. Once the APK passes basic QA on two target devices (one low-end, one mid-range), the job is done.
If you’ve shipped similar GPS-heavy or media-upload Android apps before, let’s talk timelines and any questions you may have.
