Daily CSV to Sheets uodate of customer Purchased history
Description
Budget: ₹100 - ₹400/hr
Every day I receive a fresh CSV export of customer purchases. Each file carries well over ten columns: purchase date, amount, full customer contact details, individual product information, and several internal reference fields. I want this data to flow automatically into a master Google Sheet so the purchase history is always current without any manual copy-and-paste work from my side.
Here’s what I need the workflow to achieve:
• Take the daily CSV (I can drop it in Drive, forward it by email, or use another source you suggest). • Parse every column exactly as it appears—no truncation or re-ordering—and push the records into the appropriate tab of my Google Sheet. • Append new rows while preventing accidental duplication when the same order ID reappears. • Retain the formatting already applied in the spreadsheet (conditional colour rules, currency, and date formats). • Run automatically; a Google Apps Script, make.com scenario, or similar light-maintenance solution is fine as long as I can edit keys or paths later if something changes.
Acceptance criteria
- A test run on sample data imports all columns—purchase dates & amounts, customer names/contact details, product info—without data loss.
- A second import of the same file does not create duplicates.
- The trigger fires on schedule or on file drop, whichever is agreed, and logs success/failure visibly inside the Sheet.
If something in my current setup could be streamlined, flag it and I’ll adjust. Once in place, the system should keep itself ticking with minimal babysitting.
