PDF User Manual Reformatting

Project-Based

Description

I have several user-manual PDFs that need a professional once-over. The content itself is final, but the structure and visual consistency are not.

Your job is to: • Re-style all headings and sub-headings so the hierarchy is crystal-clear and follows a logical, repeatable pattern. • Rebuild every table and chart so they align cleanly with the text, use a consistent colour palette, and remain sharp when exported back to PDF.

The source files are only available as PDFs right now, so you will probably start by importing them into InDesign, Word, or another tool you prefer, tidy up the formatting there, and then export a fresh, print-ready PDF. I do not need any content writing—just layout and formatting.

Deliverables

  1. Fully formatted, press-quality PDF for each manual.
  2. An editable source file (InDesign, Word, or equivalent) for future updates.

I’ll share the manuals and our simple style guide as soon as we start. If you have experience fixing typography, tables, and charts inside PDF-based documents, I’d love to see a quick sample or two.
