Modular Pizza Vending Machine Design

Project-Based

Description

I am building an autonomous pizza vending machine that can both store chilled pies and bake them to order before dispensing. The concept is modular, scaling from 120 to 320 pizzas, so the entire mechanical architecture—racking, oven module, cutting station, and dispensing door—must be designed with interchangeable sub-assemblies that snap into a shared frame. The oven module must be specifically designed for High-Power Infrared (IR) heating elements with independent top/bottom control. slicer module must integrate an Ultrasonic Cutting Blade system.

Core functionality • Dual-zone temperature control: refrigerated storage and high-heat baking. • Touchscreen ordering with an intuitive UX. • Cashless payment hardware (NFC, EMV, QR). • Remote monitoring for inventory, diagnostics, and firmware updates. • Outdoor-rated enclosure: IP-rated seals, vandal-resistant doors, and UV-stable finishes.

What I need from you You will lead the complete mechanical and industrial design cycle, transforming my specifications into a manufacture-ready package. Expect to liaise with electrical and software teams, but the mechanical scope—from concept sketches through prototype hand-off—remains yours.

Deliverables (acceptance criteria)

  1. Parametric 3D CAD models and high-quality renderings that show the machine in each service position.
  2. Detailed technical drawings and blueprints with tolerances, material call-outs, and exploded views for every module (storage carousel, bake unit, slicer, dispensing door, payment bezel, chassis, and access panels).
  3. Functional Digital Prototype (3D motion simulation and thermal simulation) and assembly-ready design files
  4. Complete, structured Bill of Materials (BOM) including off-the-shelf parts, food-grade certifications, and estimated unit costs.
  5. Technical dossier / user manual (DTR) covering assembly instructions, preventive maintenance schedules, and safety compliance notes.

Preferred toolchain is SolidWorks or Inventor for CAD, but I am open to other industry-standard platforms as long as native and neutral files are supplied. All work must be kept version-controlled so future capacity upgrades (or a gluten-free module) slot in without re-engineering the chassis.

If you have a track record deg food-service kiosks, vending equipment, or automated retail solutions, I would love to review your portfolio and discuss timelines for the first prototype.
