Position Summary

As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for building new relationships with airline companies, while nurturing existing partnerships. Your daily tasks will mostly involve account management and support in order to expand our global airlines network.

As part of the role you will also have the responsibility of Regional Manager for Oceania, where you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of our company's operations in the region. You will play a key role in developing and executing strategic plans to ensure the company's growth, profitability, and market presence in the region.

Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities and build relationships with potential business partners
  • Manage and nurture relationships with existing accounts and other key partners, clients and stakeholders
  • Draft incentive proposals and presentations
  • Use performance data per airline company in order to define our strategy in the negotiation process and optimize our collaboration
  • Participate, drive or arrange meetings and conference calls
  • Be a point of contact for airline related issues within the company
  • Drive and monitor sales performance
  • Act as the airline stakeholder for internal/external development projects
  • Develop and implement business strategies to achieve company objectives in Oceania
  • Manage financial performance and budgeting for the markets in scope
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness
  • Identify and pursue business development opportunities to expand the company’s market share
  • Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations and company policies
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the local team and global headquarters

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing and Communications, or any other related field
  • Around 3 years of proven experience in B2B Account management
  • Demonstrated ability to build and nurture strong business relationships
  • Strong presentation, communication and negotiation skills
  • Self-driven and proactive
  • Result-oriented with a focus on achieving business objectives
  • Data driven with a 360 view thinking along with strong critical and analytical skills
  • Experience working with KPIs
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in analyzing data and producing reports to measure the impact of partnerships on business performance.
  • Ability to act proactively, take initiatives and demonstrate a can-do attitude focusing on producing high quality results within a fast-paced environment
  • High level of responsibility and integrity combined with eagerness to work in a multicultural, international environment subject to continuous changes
  • Position will require up to 50% travel
  • Preferred experience from the travel industry (OTA, travel tech)
  • Be comfortable working with internal and external stakeholders in different time zones
  • Business acumen and strong project management skills
  • Understanding of local market and business landscape
