Job Title: Senior Human Resources (HR) Manager Location: Ethiopia Reports To: General Manager / CEO Department: Human Resources Job Summary The Senior HR Manager is responsible for leading and managing all human resource functions, ensuring compliance with Ethiopian labor laws, and aligning HR strategies with organizational goals. The role focuses on talent management, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development. Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic HR Management Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives Advise senior management on HR policies, workforce planning, and organizational structure Lead change management and organizational development initiatives 2. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition Plan and oversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes Ensure hiring complies with Ethiopian labor regulations 3. Employee Relations & Labor Law Compliance Ensure compliance with Ethiopian Labour Proclamation No. 1156/2019 and other relevant regulations Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution Liaise with labor unions and government authorities when required 4. Performance Management Design and implement performance appraisal systems Monitor employee performance and support management in evaluations Promote a high-performance culture 5. Compensation & Benefits Develop competitive salary structures and benefits packages Ensure compliance with pension contributions under Ethiopian Pension Proclamation Manage payroll policies in coordination with Finance 6. Training & Development Identify training needs and coordinate staff development programs Promote leadership development and capacity building Evaluate effectiveness of training initiatives 7.
