We are offering a project-based assignment as Progressive Web App Developer Local Expert Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia Project: SME Support Scheme in the GIZ-Special Initiative "Decent Work for a Just Transition" Job Code: ETH-1013 Progressive Web App Developer Expert The Project Within the GIZ Program Special Initiative " SME Support Scheme "Decent Work for a Just Transition"", sequa implements the " SMEs Support Scheme in the GIZ-Special Initiative "Decent Work for a Just Transition" in the Addis Ababa in Ethiopia. With this, sequa aims to facilitate capacity building and enhancing the job quality and creating new jobs in the Ethiopian care giver service sector at service providers by increasing their competitiveness and quality service so that their services will satisfy the demand on local markets. Benefiting companies and professional individuals receive flexible and demand-oriented funding consulting, technical training, on areas of different section of the general topics of capacity building. A special focus will be on to initiate, inform, and facilitate business development and strategy for the operation of the Mogzit In home Care. sequa has selected Mogzit In Home Care through a vetting process. Mogizit In Home Care was founded in 2020 G.C. It is dedicated to professionalizing the care giving sector creating dignified employment opportunities for women. Additionally, Mogzit In Home Care operates in Addis Ababa by providing sustainable qualified care givers professionals through capacity development, and employment opportunities in adopting and promoting the recruitment practices and functional operations, scaling up network and diversification of product service. The objective of this assignment is to assess and develop a strategic growth plan, enhance financial sustainability, and professionalize the caregiving service model of Mogzit In Home Care through the successful execution of high-impact business development and strategy initiatives and strategies. Mozgit is a female-led social enterprise transitioning from an informal "nanny agency" to a professional One-Stop-Shop Boutique Care Hub. To reach high-value client segments (International Orgs, Diaspora, Expat community), the digital flagship—the website—must be re-aligned to reflect Trust, Professionalism, and Empowerment. To redesign and optimize the Mozgit website into a client-centric, multilingual platform that communicates a "Boutique Service" feel while maintaining cultural identity. Your Task / responsibilities Strategic Re-Positioning: Transitioning the visual language from a basic "utility app" to a Trusted Care Ecosystem. UI/UX Overhaul: Deg a seamless journey for busy professionals to book, inquire, and review services. Multilingual Integration: English (primary for international/NGO reach) and Amharic (cultural presence). Content Strategy: Implementing the new tagline: "Mozgit
- The Professional Caregiver Service You Can Trust." Trust Indicators: Dedicated sections for Certified Training (TVET), Safety/Security Protocols, and Professional Profiles. Responsive Design: Optimized for mobile (the primary tool for Addis clients). The selected firm will design, develop, and deploy Mogzit.com, a comprehensive digital hub for the Care Economy. The platform will integrate the following core modules: Caregiver Professional Profiles (Verified caregiver accounts, Portfolio and experience display, Rating and review system, Job match algorithm (skills, location, availability) Job Marketplace Mozgit posts special care services (Caregivers accompany Clients outside Addis Ababa, referral for swim and music lessons) Caregivers can apply for jobs (Current Employment Opportunities) Matching and filtering tools Parent Hub (Resource library (Book Club) Admin Dashboard (Caregiver verification and Reporting and analytics) Platform Architecture, Security & Scalability Secure and authentication Data and encryption Backup and recovery processes Scalable cloud infrastructure Tasks & Responsibilities Deliverables The candidate will be responsible for the full end-to-end development process, including: Conducting detailed requirements gathering and system mapping Deg UI/UX for all modules (web and mobile-responsive) Developing the platform using modern, scalable technologies Integrating payment, SMS, and email notification systems Ensuring strong data security, compliance, and access control Performing unit, integration, UAT, and performance testing Preparing system documentation, technical manuals, and source code Training the internal team on platform administration Maintenance support and post-instalment support
