Job Title: Accountant  Reports to:** Finance Head Number Required: 2 Salary: Negotiable Workplace: Addis Ababa  Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage financial transactions and tax-related matters for the firm’s clients.  Job Brief The Accountant will be responsible for reviewing financial documents, preparing regular tax reports, and generating interim and annual financial statements using Peachtree accounting software. The ideal candidate should have prior bookkeeping experience and a strong ability to identify numerical discrepancies. The role requires providing accurate quantitative information on clients’ financial position, liquidity, and cash flows, while ensuring full compliance with tax regulations. Key Responsibilities - Advise clients on financial and tax-related matters  - Keep firm staff and clients informed of current and new government finance and tax rules  - Assist clients in meeting government tax and financial reporting requirements  - Ensure monthly tax reports (including VAT, WHT,, pension contributions, and payroll tax) are accurately prepared  - Prepare interim and draft annual financial reports using Peachtree software in accordance with tax reporting rules and regulations. - Ensure timely submission of clients’ monthly tax reports and annual financial statements  - Prepare and submit a monthly work progress report to the Finance Head and manager  - Provide supporting documents and explanations to tax auditors regarding clients’ financial and tax reports as needed  - Assist clients in obtaining clearance and business license renewals   - Represent the senior accountant in handling operational matters with clients and third parties when required  - Perform other related duties as assigned
