Senior Monitoring & Evaluation Engineer

Key duties and responsibilities :   Develop M&E Frameworks   Design and implement Monitoring & Evaluation systems for projects  Define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) (time, cost, quality, safety)  Establish data collection methods, tools, and reporting formats     Project Performance Monitoring   Track project progress against plans, schedules, and budgets  Monitor construction activities to ensure alignment with objectives  Identify deviations and performance gaps early    Data Collection & Analysis   Collect data from site teams, contractors, and consultants  Analyze performance trends and project metrics  Use tools like Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or dashboards for reporting    Evaluation & Impact Assessment   Conduct periodic evaluations (mid-term and final)  Assess project outcomes, efficiency, and effectiveness  Measure whether project objectives and deliverables are achieved    Reporting & Documentation   Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports   Develop dashboards and visual performance summaries  Present findings to senior management and stakeholders    Quality & Compliance Monitoring   Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and contracts  Support quality assurance processes  Verify that work meets technical and regulatory requirements    Risk & Issue Tracking   Identify risks affecting project performance    Monitor issues and recommend corrective actions  Support mitigation strategies with data-driven insights    Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement   Work closely with project managers, planning engineers, and site teams  Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and clients  Facilitate review meetings and performance discussions    Support Decision-Making   Provide evidence-based recommendations to management  Help improve project efficiency, cost control, and timelines  Support strategic planning and performance improvement    Lessons Learned & Continuous Improvement   Document lessons learned from projects  Recommend process improvements for future projects  Promote best practices in monitoring and evaluation    Location : Head Office Addis Ababa.
