Larson Maddox is partnering with a global aerospace and defense organization seeking to hire a attorney with strong commercial litigation experience. This position will report directly to the Associate General Counsel and offers the opportunity to work on high‑impact matters within a fast‑paced, highly regulated environment. This role is on‑site. Responsibilities Litigation • Represent and advise the company and its business units throughout all phases of litigation. • Manage and collaborate with outside counsel to ensure alignment with business and strategic objectives. • Draft, review, and support the preparation of pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses. • Prepare for and participate in mediations, hearings, and trials. • Communicate litigation strategies, risks, and status updates to internal stakeholders. Commercial Transaction Support • Partner with business teams and Legal Department colleagues to identify and assess legal risks in commercial proposals and ongoing programs. • Conduct legal reviews of domestic and international contract terms and conditions across diverse agreement types. • Support complex commercial transactions in the U.S. and abroad. • Participate in negotiations with customers, suppliers, and strategic partners. Corporate Governance • Provide guidance and support on a wide range of corporate governance matters. • Assist with drafting and reviewing corporate filings, resolutions, and related documentation. • Ensure compliance with applicable corporate governance laws, regulations, and reporting requirements. Qualifications • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. • Active bar membership in good standing. • Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience. • Strong knowledge of litigation processes, including motion practice, discovery, trial preparation, appeals, and ADR. • Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. • Demonstrated business acumen with the ability to balance legal risk and commercial objectives. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal research platforms (Westlaw and/or LexisNexis). • U.S. citizen or permanent resident with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance. • Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the U.S. and occasionally internationally.
