Senior Software Engineer (Python or Go)

Role Purpose

• Design and develop new backend features on a highly scalable and self-healing platform • Help on the implementation of a state-of-the-art microservices architecture • Research new technologies and take part of architectural decisions • Work in a test-driven development environment • Write code with performance, reliability, and maintainability in mind • Write high-quality code and documentation • Work closely with other developers, QA, and product team members • Apply analytical skills and be committed to quality • Help track requests, issues, work progress, and any other changes using our project management tools • Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables

Accountabilities include, but not limited to

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of experience as a backend software engineer, and master Python or Go as a programming language • You are familiar with DevOps practices and containerization technologies on cloud-based environments • You have experience in distributed systems and micro service architectures • You have a proven track record from working with heavy transactional systems • You care about software quality; you care about software engineering, and you want to make a difference • You have a good command of both verbal and written English • Having a degree in Information Technology or another related field would be considered an advantage

The budget for this role is 3000 - 3500 eur gross.
