Electrical Engineer

Dice is seeking an Electrical Engineer with 5-7 years of professional experience to support ongoing and new product development efforts. This engineer will focus on embedded electronics, PCB design, prototype testing, and motor control development within the consumer product engineering environment. The ideal candidate is a self-driven engineer who can quickly integrate into project teams, deliver high-quality technical output, and support both design and hands-on prototype work. Job Activities Develop and refine embedded firmware for production and prototype systems. Design, update, and validate schematics, PCB layouts, and BOMs within Altium. Execute prototype builds, board bring-up, SMT soldering, and circuit troubleshooting. Perform structured testing and verification, generate test reports, and document results. Work with PMDC motor electronics, motor drivers, PWM control, and feedback systems. Support ECNs, documentation changes, and production readiness tasks as required. Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve design or manufacturing issues. Provide engineering recommendations and contribute to design reviews. Other project-based activities as needed. Position Requirements Education & Experience Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE required). 5-7 years experience in electronics/embedded design roles. Technical Skills Strong proficiency in Altium or equivalent ECAD design tools. Embedded programming experience in C/C++ for microcontrollers. Hands-on proficiency in electronics troubleshooting and SMT soldering. Experience with PMDC motors, motor control electronics, power stages, and sensors. Expertise in using lab instruments (scope, logic analyzer, DMM, power supplies). Ability to produce clear engineering documentation and test results. Familiarity with CAD (SolidWorks) preferred but not required. Skills & Other Able to work independently and manage deliverables on defined timelines. Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis abilities. Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling multiple tasks. Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork skills. Must be able to support on-site testing, prototype builds, and collaboration.
