About the Assignment

You will join a product-focused environment in the automotive industry where connected services make everyday life easier, safer, and more flexible for vehicle users. The team works on customer-facing remote functions and the cloud services behind them, enabling everything from remote climate control to integrations that support use cases such as smart charging and fleet management.

In this assignment, you will help build and evolve the next generation of cloud backend services for remote vehicle functions. You will work close to the connected vehicle ecosystem in a modern setup based on microservices, cloud technologies, and agile ways of working. It is a great opportunity for you who want to influence technical solutions while working with services used at scale.

Job Description

• You will design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain cloud backend services for connected vehicle functions.
• You will work hands-on with Java, AWS, Spring Boot, and microservices in a modern cloud environment.
• You will build and evolve integrations and APIs using gRPC and REST.
• You will contribute to event-driven solutions and service communication using Kafka and related messaging technologies.
• You will work with containerized services and infrastructure using Kubernetes, Kustomize, YAML, and Docker.
• You will use SQL databases such as Postgres and Cassandra as part of scalable backend solutions.
• You will collaborate closely with your team to improve quality, deployment flows, observability, and ways of working.
• You will have the chance to broaden your technical scope into adjacent areas such as mobile applications and embedded systems.

Requirements

• Valid driving license in Sweden (car)
• Fluency in Java
• Extensive AWS and serverless knowledge
• Experience with Spring Boot and microservices
• Experience with Kafka
• Experience with Kubernetes, Kustomize, and YAML
• Experience with gRPC and REST
• Experience with SQL databases, including Postgres and Cassandra
• Experience with Docker
• Experience with Grafana and PagerDuty
• Fluent English, spoken and written
• Familiarity with Git and Jira
