About the Assignment

You will join a skilled Test and Verification team working with power cutters in a product development environment for construction equipment. In this role, you will focus on endurance testing and help evaluate both new concepts and products already in series production.

You will work closely with colleagues in test, verification, and R&D. The assignment combines practical test work with analysis and gives you the opportunity to contribute to quality improvements, product insights, and fact-based recommendations throughout the development lifecycle.

The environment includes test rigs, laboratory testing, and outdoor test areas. You will also help maintain the test facilities and may support testing activities in other product areas when needed.

Job Description

  • Plan, perform, and evaluate endurance tests for power cutters.
  • Break down specifications and product architecture into test plans in line with the V model.
  • Build, rebuild, and prepare test setups for different verification activities.
  • Execute tests, log results, and ensure clear documentation and reporting.
  • Analyze outcomes and present objective, fact-based recommendations and remaining risks.
  • Contribute to improvements in test methods and develop or refine test code where relevant.
  • Participate in risk assessments and planning activities together with the wider development organization.
  • Take responsibility for the endurance test environment, including equipment, setups, structure, and order in the lab.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Electronics.
  • Fluent Swedish and English, written and spoken.
  • Good understanding of physical principles and the ability to identify cause-and-effect relationships.
  • Ability to view systems from an end-user perspective and understand how they are used in practice.
  • You enjoy hands-on testing and working with equipment, while also analyzing data and understanding the reasons behind test results.
  • You are comfortable working independently and in cross-functional collaboration.
  • You can communicate test results, risks, and recommendations clearly to different stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • Experience with gasoline engines.
  • Experience with PLC systems.
  • Experience from construction-related environments.
  • Experience from laboratory work.
