"What we are looking for -Experience from a senior management position
- such as Head of Support, Deputy Chief of Party, or similar role
- for a humanitarian or development organisation, including experience managing a team. -Demonstrated experience managing operational support functions including Finance and Procurement. It is an added value to have experience in IT and HR. -Experience developing or managing partnerships with local and national non-governmental/civil society organisations is mandatory. It is an advantage if these partnerships were in MENA, experience working with KfW-funded projects/ knowledge of KfW requirements is a strong advantage. Fluency in English, both written and verbal. Arabic language skills are an advantage. -Experience working in the MENA Region is mandatory. What you will do The Head of Operational Support and Grants (HOSG) is a key function in the Nabni FMU. The position oversees the systems and processes around grant cycle management, systems for partner performance and risk management, providing significant support and guidance to Country Grant Managers in Syria, Iraq, and Yemen who oversee day-to-day grant management. The position also oversees Finance and Procurement team members
- ensuring strong Nabni support functions, supporting grant cycle management, and providing technical assistance and capacity-sharing with local partners. Many aspects of the role support or lead Nabni risk management and compliance functions. In addition, the position also oversees the grant management and reporting functions, ensuring timely donor reporting and donor grant management systems, with significant input and cooperation from the FMU. The position is responsible for the management of consultant pools for periodic additional support to partners and the Facility, for relevant areas (such as finance, procurement etc.) Key responsibilities: Management oversight of Finance and Procurement functions that support both the FMU, as well as the grant management cycle of partner grants. Responsible for developing and maintaining the Nabni grant cycle management system (Pillar 1) and oversight of the grants and reporting systems and working closely with Country Grant Managers and the Nabni Director, as well as other FMU members, on its successful implementation. Nabni’s Finance and Procurement team members liaise closely with partners grant cycle management in Pillar 1, as well as technical assistance and capacity strengthening in Pillar 2. The HOSG will support team members and the wider FMU to ensure the successful implementation of all Nabni pillars, and the position may at times provide support or guidance directly to partners for grant cycle management.
