It is mandatory for all positions Description The overall objective of the NRC Jordan Youth Programme is to ensure that Youth become and remain active and engaged members of their communities, while employing a Do No Harm lens in terms of programme assessment and implementation. NRC will provide access to structured learning and social engagement opportunities for Syrian and Jordanian youth. Opportunities will vary according to the diverse educational needs of the youth population in and out of camps, taking into consideration sensitivities of engaging youth and linking where possible and appropriate to opportunities to enter the formal workforce, return to education, pursue higher education and/or for personal, professional and social development. The Youth Officer is responsible for the daily supervision, planning and implementation of NRC Youth Programme at field level, Incentive based volunteers (IBVs) management, and liaising with stakeholders as delegated. Responsibilities Generic responsibilities These responsibilities shall be the same for all positions with the same title. The responsibilities shall be short and essential. Details belong in the Work- and Professional Development Plan. Ensure adherence with NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines. Implement delegated Core Competency project portfolio according to plan of action. Prepare and develop status reports as required by management. Ensure proper filing of documents. Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need, and explore and assess new and better ways to assist. Promote and share ideas for technical improvement. Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards & principles within NRC and amongst beneficiaries served by NRC. Specific responsibilities These responsibilities shall be adapted to the particularities of the job location and context, phase of operation, strategic focus and type of programme intervention. This section shall be revised whenever a new employee is hired or the context changes significantly. The line manager drafts the specific responsibilities and sends them to his/her line manager for approval. Under the supervision of the Youth Team Leader, handle and support the planning and the implementation of Youth Programme activities in camps, adhering to NRC quality standards and guidelines. To be aware of and work within the frame of the “Youth Pathways” modality of the Youth Program. Maintain daily and close supervision, coordination, and performance management and guidance provision to the direct team of reports of Incentive Based of Volunteers.
