"Position Title: Project Accountant Location: Amman Reports to: Head of Mission / Finance Manager Collaborates with: Admin Officer, Medical Coordinator, Reporting Officer Job Purpose: The Accountant manages the project’s financial operations, ensuring transparent, accurate, and timely payments for medical services and logistics. The role is central to donor compliance and internal financial reporting. Key Responsibilities: Track and log all costs associated with surgical referrals and patient support. Prepare and issue payments to hospitals, vendors, and transportation providers. Maintain accurate records of invoices, receipts, and financial documents. Prepare monthly financial summaries for donor reporting and internal monitoring. Ensure compliance with QFFD financial regulations and organizational policies. Coordinate financial input for reports with the Reporting Officer. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, ideally in the NGO or healthcare sector. Solid understanding of donor compliance and procurement processes. Strong skills in Excel, budgeting, and documentation. High level of integrity, attention to detail, and analytical ability. Fluency in Arabic; English is an asset. "
