We are seeking a proactive freelancer to support our social media engagement for a growing dance community based in Ottawa, Canada. The primary goal of this project is to increase engagement and attract new individuals to our dance classes and social events through authentic online interactions. This role focuses on communication, relationship-building, and outreach, rather than content creation.

Responsibilities include:

Reply to comments and messages on Instagram and Facebook

Start conversations with followers

Engage with users interacting with our content (likes, stories, etc.)

Comment on relevant local posts

Participate in Facebook groups related to events or social activities

Invite interested people to classes or events

Track interactions and interested leads in a simple spreadsheet

Project Scope:

This is an ongoing role requiring approximately 25–30 hours per week. The schedule will be coordinated based on Ottawa (Canada) time.

Requirements:

Excellent written English is essential, along with a friendly and conversational communication style. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive mindset, demonstrating the ability to take initiative, and have proven experience with social media engagement.

Nice to have:

Proficiency in Spanish and an interest in dance or social communities would be a plus.
