We are seeking a senior Business Operations Architect to support a major transformation within a large Market Operations Services function. The assignment focuses on translating strategic hypotheses into practical, scalable solutions by redeg team structures, streamlining workflows, and embedding AI-driven capabilities into operational processes. The role requires deep knowledge of financial institution operations as well as the ability to apply peer benchmarking and industry best practices to validate design decisions.
Assignment Description / Responsibilities
• Develop the target operating model, including future team structures and organizational clustering.
• Identify opportunities to consolidate activities and eliminate non–value-adding work.
• Conduct benchmarking against peer institutions and validate organizational design choices.
• Map current-state processes and design future-state workflows and process architecture.
• Ensure efficient, scalable, and regulatory-compliant processes.
• Apply Lean principles to optimize workflows in resource-constrained environments.
• Identify tasks suitable for AI agents and automation.
• Design human–AI collaboration models and define governance and performance metrics.
• Develop implementation plans, milestones, deliverables, and quick wins.
• Prototype and iterate solutions using lightweight tools.
• Manage dependencies and risks within a complex transformation landsc[a]pe.
• Lead workshops and ensure alignment across leadership and operational teams.
• Produce clear documentation and presentation materials for internal stakeholders.
Must-Have Requirements
• Several years of experience in organizational design and large-scale transformation.
• Deep understanding of financial institution operations (e.g., clearing, settlement, risk, regulatory compliance).
• Proven experience in peer benchmarking and adoption of industry best practices.
• Strong skills in process modeling and process architecture.
