Assignment Description

We are looking for a Senior Scala / Java Developer

What you will work on

• Design and develop big data services and data pipelines using Scala and Java
• Build algorithms for matching, conflation, anomaly detection, and data validation
• Improve system scalability, efficiency, and turnaround time to keep data fresh
• Work with large-scale ETL processes and data streaming solutions
• Identify, propose, and implement process improvements and automation opportunities
• Formulate requirements for new functionality and solution designs
• Design and develop APIs and REST-based services
• Collaborate closely with skilled developers to deliver high-quality solutions
• Share knowledge and support continuous improvement within the team

What you bring

• Strong programming and software design skills
• Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with the JVM, preferably Scala
• Experience with big data frameworks such as Spark, Akka, or Play
• Solid experience with big data ETL and data streaming
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and take ownership in complex environments
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
• Willingness to work onsite in Malmö and either permanent residency in Sweden or commitment to relocate
