Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – 15400

Assignment Description: We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and work with the development of advanced jet engine subsystems.

What you will work on:

• Design and development of subsystems for advanced jet engines
• Mechanical design of components and structures using materials such as high-strength steel, aluminum, composites, and additive manufacturing (AM) technologies
• New development as well as improvement of existing design solutions
• Close collaboration with production, testing, and other engineering disciplines
• Design of load-bearing structures, installation components, and integration of electronic components
• Creation of technical documentation including drawings, 3D models, specifications, and installation documentation
• Active participation in project work and technical discussions with internal and external stakeholders
• Opportunity to grow into roles such as technical specialist, team lead, or more strategic coordination roles

What you bring:

• Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a mechanical design engineer
• Strong experience working in CAD environments
• Experience with Siemens NX and PLM systems such as Teamcenter / Active Workspace is an advantage
• Knowledge of lightweight design using high-strength materials or composites is a plus
• Experience with design for additive manufacturing (AM / 3D printing) is a merit
• Strong understanding of product definition using 2D drawings and/or 3D models (MBD)
• Previous experience in a technical leadership or team lead role is an advantage
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• A team-oriented, open, and knowledge-sharing mindset
