Senior Cloud Engineer – GKE / Cloud Platform – 16898

Assignment Description

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer

What You Will Work On

• Manage and optimize GKE clusters for scalability, performance, and reliability
• Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure for high-traffic systems
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and Crossplane
• Implement and manage CI/CD and GitOps pipelines
• Handle cloud networking (VPC, BGP, VPN, load balancing, firewall, IPv6)
• Work with service mesh (Istio) and Kubernetes networking
• Manage cloud services like BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, Secret Manager
• Implement security-first cloud infrastructure and IAM controls
• Monitor systems using observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, OTel)
• Troubleshoot distributed systems and improve system resilience
• Collaborate with teams and support full lifecycle of backend services
• Mentor engineers and contribute to technical leadership

What You Bring

• Strong experience with Kubernetes and GKE in production environments
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Crossplane)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices
• Strong knowledge of cloud networking and distributed systems
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools
• Deep understanding of cloud security, IAM, and zero-trust principles
• Ability to design scalable, resilient cloud systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience mentoring engineers and working cross-functionally
• Fluent in English
