Lead Product Designer – Developer Experience (DevEx) – 17085

Assignment Description

We are looking for a Senior UX Designer

What You Will Work On

• Own and drive the UX strategy for the Internal Developer Portal
• Design and optimize end-to-end developer journeys (onboarding, CI/CD, deployments, troubleshooting)
• Identify friction points and create streamlined, intuitive workflows
• Design UX for Backstage plugins and platform components
• Create interfaces for:
• Software catalog
• Golden path templates
• CI/CD and deployment visibility
• DevSecOps insights (SAST, SCA, SBOM, compliance)
• Infrastructure provisioning
• Design AI-assisted developer experiences (LLM tools, search, onboarding)
• Ensure transparency, trust, and usability in AI interactions
• Build and maintain design systems and reusable components
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and workflow analysis
• Collaborate with stakeholders to drive adoption and usability improvements

What You Bring

• 12+ years of experience in UX/Product Design
• Experience deg for Backstage or similar developer portals
• Strong understanding of developer workflows and DevOps practices
• Proven experience deg for complex technical systems
• Expertise in:
• User research and journey mapping
• Information architecture
• Interaction design
• Prototyping (Figma or similar)
• Design systems
• Experience simplifying enterprise or platform-level products
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
