Assignment Overview

We are looking for a Senior Application Support Consultant

What you will work on

  • Providing application support for Trip & Tracking and Map Tracking teams
  • Proactively monitoring systems to reduce production incidents and downtime
  • Managing incidents and support cases through support channels such as email and Slack
  • Monitoring logs, alarms, and system performance metrics
  • Analyzing graphs, dashboards, and monitoring data to detect anomalies
  • Handling critical alerts and alarms related to system thresholds or queue growth
  • Acting on alarms and incidents through monitoring tools such as BSM
  • Notifying managers and product owners about critical incidents (P1, P2)
  • Participating in daily runtime meetings focused on production system status
  • Quickly identifying root causes of incidents and coordinating with the responsible teams
  • Working proactively to prevent recurring issues and improve system stability
  • Monitoring deployments and being extra attentive during releases in PROD and QA environments
  • Supporting development teams with troubleshooting and incident communication
  • Handling escalated support cases and coordinating resolution
  • Training first-line and second-line support teams on services and support procedures
  • Continuously improving knowledge of the team’s services and systems
  • Identifying opportunities for operational improvements and reliability enhancements

What you bring

  • University degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in application support or production support roles
  • Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills
  • Experience working with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana and Kibana
  • Experience analyzing logs, system metrics, and monitoring dashboards
  • Knowledge of server-based or cloud-based infrastructure environments
  • Ability to investigate databases and validate system data
  • Experience supporting complex backend and frontend systems
  • Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
  • Ability to work proactively and independently in incident management
  • Experience coordinating support processes and handling escalations
  • Positive team-oriented mindset with strong ownership and accountability
  • Experience with Java-based systems (Java 17+) is considered a plus
  • Based in or able to work in the Gothenburg area
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Valid EU citizenship or Swedish work permit
