For our client Volvo Cars we are looking for a Senior System designer
- Door Control Functions.Within my team we are responsible for developing the locking, door and window opening functions. We deliver systems, functions, and software that contribute to an outstanding user experience in our future vehicles.We are now seeking a System Designer with 4+ years of experience in function and system design to strengthen our team. The consultant will work with both existing and new functionality in current and upcoming vehicle programs and electrical architectures.Assignment DescriptionAs a System Designer, you will use your experience to develop, define, and verify robust system designs, technical solutions, and customer oriented function behaviors. The role requires analytical and problem solving abilities, as well as an understanding of how components and systems interact on a vehicle level. Strong communication skills are essential for collaboration with cross functional teams and suppliers.Key Responsibilities• Systemization and definition of functions and system behaviors within door control, locking, alarm, and related features.• Requirement development, including decomposition across multiple abstraction layers.• Modelling and documenting system solutions aligned with architectural guidelines.• Contributing to safety related systemization in accordance with ISO 26262 standards.• Participating in technical discussions with suppliers and internal stakeholders.• Supporting verification and validation activities when required.Required Competence & ExperienceThe ideal consultant has:• Solid experience in advanced function and system design, systemization, and modelling.• Strong background in requirement engineering: development, decomposition, and traceability.• Experience working with safety critical systems and applying ISO 26262.• Experience with relevant tools, such as Electra and Carweaver.• Proven experience in supplier communication and technical alignment.• MSc in Systems, Control & Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Engineering Physics, or equivalent competence gained from experience.• Fluency in English, spoken and written.Bonus Skills• Hardware design knowledge.• Functional design experience.• Understanding of use cases and user behavior.Personal Skills• Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written).• Ability to build networks and collaborate effectively across teams.• Structured, with the ability to manage multiple parallel topics.• Ability to balance diverse viewpoints and drive conclusions.PLEASE NOTE!
