Assignment descriptionAs a Senior Product Costing Controller, you will serve as the primary financial partner to the Sales organization at Horse. The objective of this assignment is to ensure that customer offerings, pricing strategies, and commercial decisions are grounded in robust financial analysis and accurate product costing.You will guide Sales teams with transparent cost logic and profitability insights, directly supporting customer negotiations and opportunity assessments. This is a high-visibility role requiring close collaboration with Sales leadership and senior management.Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial Partnership: Act as the main financial interface for the Sales team, providing cost transparency and business recommendations.Negotiation Support: Support Account Managers during customer discussions with data-driven arguments regarding cost logic and margin impact.Financial Scenarios: Prepare pricing options and financial simulations to guide negotiation strategies and commercial positioning.Profitability Management: Own product cost structures and margin analysis for assigned product lines, identifying cost risks and financial gaps.Investment & Opportunity Assessment: Provide go/no-go recommendations for customer opportunities based on financial viability and long-term profitability.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Procurement and Engineering to assess supplier quotations and the financial impact of design modifications.Process Development: Contribute to the continuous improvement of costing tools and commercial finance processes.Skill requirementsExperience: 4–8 years of experience in commercial controlling, product costing, or financial analysis within the automotive industry or other complex manufacturing sectors.Analytical Skills: Strong financial modeling capabilities with expert-level proficiency in Excel. Experience with BI tools is an advantage.Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of manufacturing cost structures and industrial production processes.Communication: Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for commercial stakeholders and management.Mindset: A self-starting consultant approach with the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, international environment.Merit: Experience with TcPCM (Teamcenter Product Cost Management) or similar costing databases is a significant advantage but not a requirement.In Aurobay assignments the consultants are expected to work in a remote desktop environment and bring and use their own equipment (i.e. computer and phone when necessary).We offer continuously.
