To our client we are now seeking a "Demand Planner"Purpose of the position:Performs midterm (2-18/24 months) demand planning activities for region (Asia, Europe, or the Americas) facilitating demand validation and constructively challenge expectational inputs provided by sales. Has a global product portfolio ownership of the forecast and in collaboration with product management works actively to incorporate product life cycle considerations for an accurate forecast.Leads the end-to-end demand planning process, from statistical forecasting and coordination with sales and product management inputs to validation, facilitation of demand reviews, and delivery of one complete unconstrained demand forecast across all items (MTO, MTS, Cross-brand, External). Primary areas of responsibility: Supports integration of demand planning processes within internal functions (e.g. Sales, O&I, Production units, purchasing) and outside suppliers (Cross-brand and External). Actively works with Product Life Cycle management (e.g. Phase-In/Phase-Out) in collaboration with stakeholders for clarity in demand signal supporting important decision making on availability and inventory.In addition, the Demand Planner contributes to strengthening the demand planning capability by aligning ways of working, ensuring consistent use of tools, and supporting the development of best practices. The role also drives continuous improvement initiatives related to forecasting processes, documentation standards, and system utilization to enhance accuracy, transparency, and efficiency. E.g. Analyze trends, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions as part of “action on red” and KPI management.Furthermore, the position plays an active role in connecting demand insights with planning assumptions, risks and opportunities building scenarios that support informed decision‑making across the organization. Support communication for portfolio (demand) performance to ensure no surprises within stakeholder community.Main KPI’s: Forecast Accuracy and Bias, Value-Add, Forecast Completion, Inventory Health (support).LocationYou’re preferably based in Fagersta, Sweden. A flexible position within Sweden can be an option, with frequent visits to Fagersta. Required profile:Analytical ability

  • able to interpret data, analyze trends, identify root causes, and translate insights into actionable plans.Demand planning system ability
  • able to work confidently and effectively within demand planning modules in Advanced Planning Systems.S&OP understanding
  • able to understand S&OP processes and support alignment across functions.Collaboration and influence ability
  • able to communicate clearly, influence and challenge constructively, and work closely with Sales, Product Management, and S&OP teams.Structured and proactive working approach
  • able to manage details, stay organized, and perform effectively in a dynamic and changing environment.Continuous improvement ability
  • able to stay curious, growth‑oriented, and support standardization and process improvement initiatives within planning or supply chain.Experience:Regional and global planning ability
  • demonstrated experience from working effectively with demand planning in regional or global environments.Forecasting and scenario planning ability
  • able to apply statistical forecasting methods, scenario planning, and incorporate commercial inputs.Education:• Advanced education (3–4-year University degree) or equivalent experience• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.• Education with focus on operations, planning, logistics, or analytics is considered beneficial.• Basic understanding of statistics, forecasting methods, or data analysis through formal education or equivalent training.
