For our client Husqvarna we are looking for a Software Tester - Vision Systems. Assignment DescriptionAt Husqvarna Robotics, we’re advancing autonomous lawn care through cutting-edge vision technologies. Our Automower® is already world-leading, and now we’re expanding our capabilities with new sensors, lenses, and AI-driven modules. To support this, we’re looking for a Test Engineer (1-3 years’ related experience) to join our Perception Project team. This is a hands-on role focused on testing vision systems in real-world conditions. You’ll be primarily working outdoors, recording video sequences, validating new sensors and lenses, and analyzing data to support both development and AI model training. You will be developing new automated regression tests and ensure our vision modules reflect reality and get quick feedback with each AI module changes. You’ll collaborate with developers to prioritize issues from the field and other departments, design new tests, and contribute to continuous improvement. The data you collect will be used to train and test AI models, and your insights will help shape future autonomous features. This role spans both residential gardens and professional environments, with future opportunities to collect data from Automowers in specific scenarios and locations all around the world.TasksRecord and analyze video sequences to support training and testing AI models.Test and validate new sensors and lenses in outdoor environments.Mark and document areas where vision systems fail or underperform.Handle issues reported from the field and internal departments, discuss with development, and help prioritize fixes.Design, build and execute tests based on real-world feedback. Design, build and execute new automated regression tests.Required skills1-3 years of hands-on experience with Vision systems such as cameras, LiDAR, or similar sensors.ISTQB certification or equivalent testing knowledge is a plus.Experience with HIL systems or building and maintaining test rigs.Familiarity with sensor validation, image or video data analysis, and related tools.Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Python) and a solid understanding of test automation frameworks.Strong analytical and observational skills with the ability to interpret and evaluate test results.Effective communication and teamwork skills.A valid driver’s license
