Software Engineer - HIL

For our client Volvo Cars we are looking for a Software Engineer - HIL.Description:We are a small team that works with HIL rigs (Hardware in the Loop), mainly on the SW side of the test environments. The HILs are used to validate functionality for the core compute system in the current and upcoming platforms of the cars. More specifically, we work with setting up an automated OS provisioning with versioned images and full restorability. We also create automated test scopes to monitor and gate the rig health. On top of this, we create and maintain developer tools, troubleshoot issues related to test environments and the core system, automate core system recovery, and more.We can provide an environment that values autonomy, with a small and tight-knit team where you can have a direct impact on the future development of our internal product offerings.From a tooling perspective, we use Jenkins, Git, Gerrit, Artifactory, Docker and custom Volvo Cars tools.Do you fit the profile?We are looking for you who have worked with software development, OS provisioning for Linux systems, and preferably mostly self-going.We are looking for someone with:• Experience working in a LINUX environment• Proficiency in software development using Python or a similar programming language• Familiarity with software testing in a continuous integration environmentMeritorious:• Experience with networks• Hands-on experience with hardware• Previous experience troubleshooting complex systems• Programming proficiency in Python, Typescript & Bash specifically
