We are currently seeking an experienced Production Development Manager for a leading global industrial company within advanced automation and manufacturing. This is a key leadership role with both strategic and operational responsibility, where you will lead and further develop the maintenance organization at a highly automated production site in Västerås.The maintenance function is business-critical for ensuring stability, safety, and operational efficiency. You will play a central role in transforming the organization into a more structured and data-driven operation aligned with World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles.The Role:As Production Development Manager - Maintenance Manager, you will lead a team of approximately 15 highly skilled maintenance technicians across mechanical maintenance, cabling/calibration, and automation.Your mission is to build a high-performance organization with clear equipment ownership, structured processes, and strong collaboration across functions. A key focus will be preparing the maintenance organization for a transition to a new, modern production campus with a high degree of automation.You will be part of the Technology Management Team and report to the Manager of Industrial Engineering.Key Responsibilities:Lead and develop a high-performing maintenance organization with clear ownership structuresDrive the implementation of WCM-based working methods (AM/PM)Own and manage the maintenance budget, cost follow-up, and resource optimizationEnsure preventive and corrective maintenance planning with high equipment availabilityConduct systematic root cause analysis and reliability improvement initiativesSecure spare parts supply and manage lifecycle planning for equipmentLead preparations for equipment moves and future production setupDevelop technical solutions that increase reliability and equipment longevityEnsure accurate documentation, maintenance plans, and recordsManage contractors and participate in service agreementsDrive cultural change, competence development, and cross-functional collaborationYour ProfileWe are looking for a confident and structured leader with strong change management skills and a passion for operational excellence.You bring:Several years of experience as a Maintenance Manager or in a senior maintenance leadership role within manufacturingExperience working in highly automated production environmentsProven track record of driving development aligned with WCM (AM/PM) or similar structured maintenance methodologiesStrong leadership capability and experience building effective teamsAbility to combine strategic thinking with operational presenceExperience in lifecycle management, preventive maintenance, reliability engineering, and budget responsibilityTechnical education at university level or equivalent professional experienceFluency in Swedish and English (spoken and written)Please apply directly through our system with your updated CV in English, where your relevant skills and experience for the role is clearly demonstrated.Application deadlineWe review applications on an ongoing basis.
