Senior SW Test Engineer

For our client we are looking for a Senior SW Test Engineer. Assignment description:The SW Test Engineer is responsible for deg, executing, and automating test plans to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of automotive software systems. This role involves collaborating with development teams to define testing requirements, identify defects, and validate software functionalities under various conditions. The SW Test Engineer employs advanced testing tools and methodologies to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements. Their expertise is critical in delivering robust and high-quality software solutions for automotive embedded systems.Generic role descrpition: • Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts for SWE.6 SW Qualification Test• Set up and configure test environments to replicate real-world conditions.• Identify, track, and prioritize software defects using defect tracking tools.• Conduct performance, stress, and scalability testing to validate software reliability.• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve defects and ensure timely delivery of software releases.• Evaluate and integrate new testing tools and technologies to improve testing processes.• Monitor and report testing progress and key metrics to stakeholders and management.• Conduct root-cause analysis for defects and recommend solutions to prevent recurrence.• Ensure traceability of test cases to requirements for validation and compliance purposes.Responsibilty:• Design and develop comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate software functionality and performance.• Execute manual and automated tests to identify and document software defects.• Collaborate with development teams to define testing requirements and acceptance criteria.• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and python scripts to enhance testing efficiency.• Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on software quality and issues.• Perform regression testing to ensure that new changes do not negatively impact existing functionalities.• Ensure compliance with industry standards, such as ISO 26262 and ASPICE, in all testing activities• Participate in design reviews and provide input to improve testability and software quality.• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in testing methodologies and tools. Authority:• Approve test plans and test cases to validate software functionality and quality.• Define and validate testing methodologies and frameworks for projects.• Authorize changes to test scripts and test envRequired skills:• Strong Experience from SW Test development. • Python-based test automation for ECU validation. • Experience with HIL or SIL testing• Experience in test case specification, execution, and reporting• Understanding of requirements-based testing and traceabilityMeriting experience:• HIL testing in Vector based systems. (e.g. CANoe)• CANoe / CAPL scripting• Experience with HV systems and/or powertrain systems.• Knowledge of XCP, ETK, VX1000• Electrical engineering background combined with strong programming skills (Python)OBS: The responible manager is on business trip during week 4 and will start to go through candidates as earliest during week 5.
