This role is based at the technical center in Linköping.About the Team

  • Vision PerceptionThe Vision Perception organization is responsible for defining and executing the perception strategy for next-generation ADAS and AD solutions, with the ambition to be a global leader in Perception and Drive Policy Software. At the Linköping site, you will work in an environment focused on developing cutting-edge technology aimed at improving road safety through collaborative driving and enabling autonomous driving for customers worldwide. What You Will DoYou will be part of the development of camera-based perception systems, contributing to the rapid advancement of autonomous driving technologies. Camera calibration is a critical component within computer vision, as the functional performance of ADAS and AD applications relies heavily on accurate calibration to translate image observations into real-world coordinates. You will design and develop state-of-the-art machine learning–based calibration algorithms and frameworks, targeting both development and production platforms. Camera calibration is a key enabler for our computer vision applications by:Ensuring accurate positioning for all camera-based functions that output data in real-world coordinatesProviding accurate ground truth for data annotation used in development and validation, including reference sensor cross-calibrationEnabling sensor fusion with LiDAR, radar, and other onboard sensorsEnsuring consistency in multi-camera systems providing 360° surround view coverageSupporting both online (dynamic) and offline calibration tools, including calibration monitoring and validationThe team focuses on exploring and implementing modern machine learning approaches for camera calibration while considering system availability and hardware constraints. You will work on cutting-edge challenges at the intersection of computer vision, deep learning, and embedded systems. You will collaborate closely with specialists across multiple technical domains to deliver core ADAS and AD functionalities such as vehicle, pedestrian, and cyclist detection; lane and road boundary detection; static object detection; traffic sign and traffic light detection; as well as end-to-end planning and driving. What You BringWe are looking for highly motivated individuals with a strong “can-do” attitude who want to contribute to ongoing and upcoming collaborative driving projects. To succeed in this role, you bring experience in several of the following areas:Strong theoretical and practical expertise in machine learningAlgorithm development within geometric vision, robotics, or a strong mathematical backgroundSolid software development experience, preferably in C, C++, and PythonSystems engineering experience, preferably within embedded systemsA Master of Science degree in mathematics, image or signal processing, computer science, or a related fieldMeriting CompetenciesExperience deploying machine learning models on embedded platformsDeep knowledge of computer vision geometry (e.g., projective geometry, camera models, epipolar geometry, homographies) and optimization techniquesPersonal QualitiesYou have strong analytical skills and a high level of quality awareness. You take ownership of your work and actively drive both individual and team progress by exploring new ideas and experimenting for the benefit of the product, the team, and your own development. You are fluent in English; proficiency in Swedish is considered a plus. What We OfferWe offer a workplace where you contribute to the development of cutting-edge technology with a clear purpose: improving road safety and enabling autonomous driving.A key role in one of the most rapidly expanding technology fieldsAn environment that supports personal growth and an innovative mindsetContinuous technical challenges and the opportunity to become a key contributor in the teamA culture built on respect, openness, and courageA strong focus on customer value and excellence in executionA truly global environment with colleagues and customers around the world
